How to use
The Specialist is truly special because it can be used three ways! This beautifully blue booster can be used in a pinch as a spot treatment, dosed into your nightly serums, or used as a wash-off mask.
SPOT TREAT
The Specialist is potent yet gentle enough to use as a leave-on spot treatment for stubborn, congested skin. Avoid doing this for more than 3 nights to prevent over-exfoliation. Wash hands after application.
NIGHTLY SERUM
Add one drop to your serum or moisturizer step and mix for a gentle, nightly exfoliating experience to keep skin congestion free.
ONCE A WEEK WASH-OFF MASK MOMENT
For a more potent experience, after your cleansing step, apply a thin layer to dry skin and let it sit for 10 minutes of me-time. Wash-off and follow with the rest of your normal routine.
Pssst...did you know?
The Specialist was originally supposed to be green… but the CC crew felt strongly about the blue...so blue it is!

Ingredients List & Actives Profiles
You shouldn’t need a degree in chemistry to take care of your skin. But, to be clear, someone needs the degree.
18% Mandelic Acid
Mandelic acid is the biggest of the AHA molecules (aka. most gentle). This underrated exfoliant comes with some great testing on its ability to tackle oily skin woes and keeping skin smooth and bright.
2% Salicylic Acid
This infamous chemical exfoliant gets its oily skin benefits because of its unique ability to penetrate pores and target congestion and blackheads.
5% niacinamide
A multi-functional workhorse. Niacinamide is one of the few ingredients out there that reduces the appearance of pores, regulates sebum production, AND boosts skin barrier function over time.
All of our exfoliant boosters contain a beautifully pigmented plant extract to help you visualize your dose of AHA/BHA. The Specialist's deep blue hue comes from gardenias.
