• Can I use the Specialist every night?

  It depends!

  At 18% mandelic acid and 2% salicylic acid, the Specialist is gentle enough to use as a leave-on spot treatment in a pinch for a couple of nights in a row. That said, it's too potent for contiual daily use. For daily use, we recommend using it as a booster. Simply mix a drop with your moisturizer at night for a little pick me up to keep skin congestion at bay. Last but not least, you can use the Specialist all over face as a rinse-off mask one to two times a week.

• What's the best way to use the Specialist to clear my blackheads FAST?

  The key is to clear your skin completely of sebum, oil, dirt & grime before applying the specialist. Wash your face thoroughly, followed by either a clay mask or an astringent toner on your nose to REALLY clean off skin surface. Then dab on the Specialist on skin to leave on overnight. Repeat for a second night in a row if needed.

• Can I still use glycolic acid or other chemical exfoliants if I'm using the Specialist?

  Yes...Carefully

  You can absolutely use both in your routine. If you're using a low dose glycolic acid product (eg. a toner with less than 7% glycolic acid), you can continue to use it daily and only use the Specialist as a spot treatment. If you have a high dose glycolic acid product (eg. our Gold Standard with 30% glycolic acid), the best way to get the most out of both products is to use the glycolic acid as a once a week home peel and the Specialist as a mild daily booster. Do NOT use the Specialist as a spot treat on nights when you use home peels.
